14-year-old girl assaulted near a Nottingham park – police appeal

Officers are appealing for information as part of their ongoing investigation after a teenage girl was assaulted near a park.

The 14-year-old victim needed hospital treatment after being kicked multiple times and dragged across the floor by a group of other girls.

She had travelled to St Ann’s Park to meet a friend when the attack took place in Abbotsford Drive around 9pm on Thursday (19 June).

The victim suffered bruises to her arms and shoulders and bruising and scratches to her face.

Police Constable Ruby Trigger, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a completely unacceptable attack on a vulnerable teenage girl.

“Thankfully, she did not suffer serious injury but this must have been a frightening ordeal for her.

“We take incidents of this nature very seriously as we understand the impact they can have on the victim and their family.

“Officers have been working hard to understand exactly what happened by conducting a CCTV trawl in the area and carrying out other local inquiries.

“I would urge anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or has any information that could assist our investigation, including anyone who may have recorded CCTV, dashcam, doorbell, or mobile phone footage, to please call us on 101, quoting incident number 844 of 19 June 2025.

“Alternatively, anyone with information can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
