Police have released images of a man and woman they wish to speak to in connection with an assault that took place in a city centre venue.
A spokesperson said:
‘The incident occurred around 3:40 am on Monday 26 May in the Alcove Bar, St James’ Street.
‘The two victims, both in their fifties, required medical treatment following the attack, which took place in the corridor outside of the bar’s toilets.
‘We believe the two individuals in the images may be able to assist with our investigation.’
PC Thomas Richardson added: “We are eager to speak to the people pictured and would urge anyone who recognises either one of them, or who may know any details that can help, to get in touch.
“Those with information are asked to call the police on 101 quoting incident number 25000303779 of 26 May. Details can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
