Police seized suspected Class A drugs, scales and cash and arrested a teenager after it was reported a group of friends had been threatened in a park.
As part of an investigation into an alleged incident which happened in Heskey Park in St Ann’s, at around 7pm on Saturday (26 June), officers carried out enquiries at an address in St Ann’s yesterday (Monday 28 June).
It led to officers arresting a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug, possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and acquiring criminal property.
Drugs, scales, cash and a mobile phone were found inside the address.
Inspector Mark Stanley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “As a force we continue to take a very proactive approach, working closely with our partners to target those who are believed to be involved in drug-related crime as well as raising awareness among young people, parents, teachers and other members of the community to help protect vulnerable individuals and prevent them from getting involved in criminality.
“We take drug-related crime very seriously, devoting considerable resources to disrupting it, and we will continue to use all available powers to bring offenders to justice.”
