Ruddington Vets is investing over £1 million to relocate, upgrade and grow its practice on the outskirts of Nottingham.
On 14 November the surgery is being moved two miles north-west from Shaw Street in Ruddington Village to a brand new 3,080 square foot purpose-built building on the Clifton Triangle Retail Park in the suburb of Clifton[1].
The new property will enable the practice to increase the number of clients it serves and significantly expand the range of clinical services it offers to pets in the locality.
The modern purpose-built building is all on one level and houses the latest veterinary facilities and equipment.
Four consulting rooms are being installed to offer a greater number of appointments, along with two spacious operating theatres with the latest veterinary equipment. The site will also house an isolation ward, in-house laboratory, dental suite and digital x-ray facilities.
To keep stress to a minimum for patients, the practice will have a spacious reception area with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, in addition to separate dog and cat hospital wards. New walk-in kennels are also being built for larger dog breeds.
The new practice is prominently located in Clifton Triangle Retail Park which is on multiple public transport routes. It has its own separate entrance to provide easy access and ample parking for clients and animal patients. Full disabled access has also been built.
To staff the practice, two new vets and a Clinical Director have been recruited, who will collectively offer an increased range of veterinary services.
Six veterinary nurses and four receptionists are part of the 17 strong team, who will look after the practice’s increased number of clients and their pets.
Esther Wroughton, Regional Director for the Ruddington Veterinary Practice, said: “We had outgrown our existing practice on Shaw Street.
“It was becoming difficult for us to offer the highest level of service and quality of animal care that we are accustomed to.
“So this is an exciting move for us. Clifton is a fantastic new site with a superb range of facilities. It’ll mean that we’ll be able to look after many patients right here and it’ll enable us to grow the number of patients we see.”
On Saturday 19 November the new Ruddington Veterinary Practice is hosting an Open Day between 12-5pm at Clifton Triangle Retail Park to invite local pet owners to view the new facilities.
Here they will be able to; take a tour of the new practice, see behind the scenes and meet the veterinary team; enter a raffle in aid of Pet Blood Bank and get their pet’s photos taken in a doggie photo booth; plus participate in face painting, balloon modelling and receive a goodie bag.
The previous Ruddington Veterinary Practice was based in a property on Shaw Street, in the heart of Ruddington Village.
