Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a farm in Nottinghamshire.
A spokesperson for Newark Fire Station said:
‘Well, we didn’t expect to be rescuing 22 Sheep when we started shift this morning, but that’s exactly what we ended up doing.
‘The farmer asked for our help after he discovered them in this ditch during his morning check.
‘They were well stuck in the mud, cold and exhausted.
