1,600 properties without power in NG10 post code area

A power cut is affecting hundreds of homes and businesses across NG10 post codes.

National Grid said:

‘We are aware of a power cut outage which was raised at 12:06pm this afternoon and our engineers are working to get the power returned as quickly as possible.

‘We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you.’

‘There is a fault on our high voltage network in your area which we are working hard to resolve.’

It is estimated that power could be restored by 1:30 pm

1,600 properties were affected – engineers restored 869 on arrival at the incident.
