A Nottinghamshire family could be on the verge of making local pageant history as sisters Laura and Chloe Spies prepare for the possibility of holding consecutive Miss Nottinghamshire Great Britain titles.
Current titleholder Laura Spies, 23, will hand over her crown this July after a year spent representing Nottinghamshire while raising more than £3,000 for Cancer Research UK and supporting charities across the county.
During her reign, Laura has taken part in charity football matches, organised fundraising events and donation drives, and worked with causes including Cancer Research UK, Footprints, and John Eastwood Hospice. She also represented Nottinghamshire at the Miss Great Britain national finals in October.

Laura said:
“Representing Nottinghamshire has been one of the proudest experiences of my life. Competing at Miss Great Britain was incredible, but what has meant the most is being able to give back to the community, raise vital funds, and support charities that make a real difference to local people.”
Now, attention is turning to her younger sister, Chloe Spies, 18, who has been selected as a finalist in Miss Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire 2026.

Inspired by seeing the impact her sister has made over the past year, Chloe hopes to continue the family’s involvement in the competition while championing charitable and community causes of her own.
She said:
“Watching Laura’s journey really inspired me. Seeing the difference she’s been able to make through fundraising and community work showed me that it’s about much more than a title. I’m excited to begin my own journey and hopefully make a positive impact too.”
If successful, Chloe would directly succeed her sister, creating a rare back-to-back family win and marking a unique moment in the competition’s history for Nottinghamshire.
Laura will officially crown her successor later this summer, bringing an end to a year of fundraising, community involvement, and county representation. For the Spies family, however, the story may be far from over.
