The incident happened in the early hours of 24 April.
Nottinghamshire Police was called at 1.55 am on 24 April to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a male motorcyclist who came off his bike.
He was taken to the QMC for treatment.
It is reported to have happened at the island near Meadow Covert in Edwalton.
Road closures were put in place at Beckside, Alford Road and Melton Gardens.

Roads reopened around lunchtime.
The motorcyclist’s condition is currently described as ‘critical but stable’.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to what happened or any drivers who may have recorded dashcam footage to get in touch by calling Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 54 of 24 April 2020’
