Emergency services including boats are searching the river.
Nottinghamshire Police said:
‘We received a call at 5:17 pm Friday 8 January after concerns that someone was in the water.’
East Midlands Ambulance Service are also at the scene.
No roads are closed but Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue are asking people to avoid the area.
