Days of rain have caused the Trent to burst its banks on the north side of the river.
The river water has flooded most of the footpaths on Victoria Embankment, from Trent Bridge all the way to the tram bridge.
A flood warning remains in place for the Trent at several points along its route.
Queen’s Drive Park and Ride is completely submerged in water.
The latest warning for today is:
‘River levels remain high at the Colwick river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected to continue.

‘Areas most at risk are Nottingham Park and Ride on Queens Drive, Lenton Lane and Power League Football Pitches.

‘We expect river levels to remain high over the weekend. Showers are forecast over the next 48 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation.
‘Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.
‘This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 23/01/21, or as the situation changes.
More light rain is forecast this evening ( Friday ) and over the weekend. ‘
