A man has been charged following a car key burglary where two Mini Coopers were stolen.
Officers received a report that two cars had been stolen from a driveway in the Middleton Boulevard area of Nottingham at 6.25am on 3 February.
A 38-year-old man from St Ann’s, has been charged with burglary and theft.
The suspect appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday (23 July) and was remanded in custody.
He is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on August 20.
Detective Sergeant James Bond, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have been carrying out enquiries since the car key burglary was initially reported to us in February.
“A man has now been charged as a result of the hard work and tenacity of several of our policing teams.
“We understand how traumatic these offences are for people and that is why our force is absolutely committed to robustly investigating every report we receive.
“We are determined to bring offenders to justice and that is why burglaries fell by 34 per cent in Nottinghamshire in the year to April 2021.
“Our specialist burglary teams will continue to support victims and seek to put offenders before the courts.”
