“But we’ve also plenty of members who’ve taken up the sport in the last few years – including some enthusiastic juniors” explained membership secretary David Brydon.

“We’d love anyone interested – adults or children – to come and have a go tomorrow. You’ll need to wear flat shoes, and clothing to keep you warm and dry.

“There’s no charge and no need to book – just turn up.  We’ll supply all equipment, and people will be on hand to explain how to play.

“Then if anyone wants to take it further, we’ve still got a few places on our evening Learn to Play course starting Tuesday 3 May at 6 pm.”

Users of Highfields Leisure Park may park free of charge in Nottingham Hockey Centre on the opposite side of University Boulevard (NG7 2PS).
