Burglars on motorcycle steal cash in Wilford Lane Co-op break-in

Detectives have launched an investigation and are appealing for help after a break-in at a supermarket.

Police were called to the Co-op, in Wilford Lane, Wilford, Nottingham, around 3.25am on Monday (28 July) following reports a burglary was in progress.

Two offenders had arrived on a motorcycle, gained entry to the store and then fled on the bike with cash from the tills.

It is believed they made their escape in the direction of the Silverdale roundabout.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information, or any relevant recorded footage, to get in touch without delay.

Detective Constable Ruth Towle, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This raid on a local store will have been concerning for both staff and members of the community.

“Officers are working hard on the investigation and following a number of leads as they continue to review CCTV footage and make other inquiries.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has any information, or dashcam, CCTV, doorbell or mobile phone footage, which could assist with these efforts to trace those responsible.”
