Transport Nottingham provided this update as work continues on the new Waterside Bridge in West Bridgford and Nottingham as part of the Transforming Cities project.
Transport Nottingham said in an update on Wednesday 3 September:
‘The bridge is now being assembled at Trent Basin, the deck sections of the bridge that arrived in the week commencing 18 August have now been lifted into place along side the basin and during the first week of September, the arch sections are arriving on site for installation.

Other recent progress includes:
Ongoing piling works to create the foundations for the bridge structure and ramps.
Installation of a temporary sheet pile along the riverbank to secure the edge during construction.
Construction of a platform to support the crane that will lift the bridge into place this November.
Meanwhile, over in Hucknall at Briton’s, the bridge structure has been transported in sections under police escort to a specialist facility for painting. Once complete, it will return to Nottingham later this month, ready to be reassembled at the riverside in preparation for installation this autumn.
