£1,000 worth of stock stolen from Co-op store

Police want to talk to these two people after £1,000 worth of stock was taken from a store.

Officers attended Co-Op, in Collingham High Street, near Newark, after a shop theft was reported.

Two men reportedly walked into the shop, before filling bags they’d been carrying with pharmaceutical items.

They then walked out of the shop without paying for the stock, which had a total sale value of around £1,000.

Police investigating the incident – which happened around 12.50pm on 16 July – have now released images of two people they’d like to talk to.

PC Simon Pinnington, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“We strongly believe the men pictured will have information that could assist our inquiries.

“As such, our message would be for them to make themselves known to us, or for anyone who recognises them to please let us know.

“This was a high-value shop theft that happened in the middle of the day, so there will have been other shoppers who saw what happened.

“If you were in the shop in the time and witnessed this theft, we want to hear from you too, so please get in touch.”

Information can be shared with the police by calling 101, quoting incident 25000420994, while Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
