Police appeal after driver flees this incident

Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a car ended up on its roof following a collision.

Officers were called to Sneinton Dale, Sneinton, Nottingham, around 6.35pm on Saturday (8 November) following reports of a two-vehicle crash.

One of the vehicles involved, a black Volkswagen Golf, was discovered to be on its roof and across two lanes of traffic.

The driver of the Golf had fled the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

Police Constable Scott Rossington, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Thankfully, we do not believe there were any serious injuries as a result of this incident.

“However, the collision is being investigated as a dangerous driving incident and it is also a very serious offence to fail to stop at the scene.

“As officers investigate what happened, we’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or these two vehicles in the moments prior to the incident.

“The collision took place on a busy street close to a number of shops, so we believe there may be witnesses who have not yet spoken to an officer.

“We’d also like to hear from anyone with any relevant dashcam, mobile phone, door bell or CCTV footage.”

Anyone who can assist should call 101, quoting incident 528 of 8 November 2025, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
