Early morning
A very wet start to the new month across Nottinghamshire. Rain is widespread from before dawn and continues with a high likelihood of further downpours through the morning. Temperatures rise from around 6C at 6am to 9C by mid-morning. Winds are brisk from the south-south-west, with gusts widely in the high 30s mph, making conditions feel unpleasant at times.

Midday
Rain remains persistent into the middle of the day, with probabilities still between 60 and 80 per cent. Temperatures lift to around 12C but the strong south-south-west winds continue, gusting near 40 mph at times. Visibility varies but generally remains moderate to good during lighter bursts of rain.

Afternoon
The rain continues on and off through the afternoon, with the highest risk around 3pm when probabilities reach beyond 90 per cent. Temperatures hold at around 12C before slowly easing later. Winds strengthen further at times with gusts climbing into the low-40s mph range, particularly during heavier pulses of rain.

Evening
Rain gradually becomes lighter but remains likely into the early evening, with a more noticeable reduction from around 8pm as probabilities fall to 50 per cent and then 20 per cent. Temperatures slowly sink from around 12C to 10C by late evening. Winds ease a little but remain from the south and south-south-west, keeping the night relatively mild. Cloud cover thickens again before midnight.
