A bright and mild day is expected on Tuesday 17 March with increasing sunshine through the day and dry conditions continuing into a calm evening.
EARLY MORNING
The day will begin mostly cloudy but dry, with temperatures around 9°C at 6am. Winds will be moderate from the south-south-west at around 11 to 12 mph with gusts between 24 and 27 mph, making it feel breezy at times. The chance of rain remains very low at below five per cent.
MIDDAY
Cloud will gradually break through the late morning with sunshine becoming more widespread by midday. Temperatures will steadily rise from around 11°C during the morning to approximately 14°C by midday. Winds from the south-south-west will strengthen slightly to around 15 mph with gusts reaching about 31 to 32 mph.
AFTERNOON
The afternoon will be bright with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. Temperatures will reach around 15°C through much of the afternoon, feeling pleasantly mild for mid-March. Winds will continue from the south-south-west at around 14 to 15 mph with gusts between 28 and 30 mph, maintaining a noticeable breeze.
EVENING
Clear skies will develop into the evening with dry and settled conditions continuing. Temperatures will gradually fall from around 14°C late afternoon to about 8°C by late evening. Winds will slowly ease from the south to south-south-west at around 6 to 11 mph with gusts between 13 and 23 mph. Overnight conditions remain dry with clear spells.
