A stalker who launched ‘a campaign of harassment’ against a woman and threatened to share an intimate photo of her has been locked up.
Adrian Vaduva was found guilty of stalking involving fear of violence, between 16 September 2025 and 30 September 2025, and threatening to share a photograph or film of a person in an intimate state, between 1 December 2024 and 29 September 2025.
The 53-year-old, who was convicted after a jury trial, followed the victim from her home to her workplace and continued to call and message her – in breach of a Domestic Violence Protection Order he had been issued with.
These DVPOs are issued to protect victims from further risk of harm, specifying conditions which a perpetrator must adhere to and telling them what they are not allowed to do, such as having contact with a victim or returning to/entering a specific residence.

Patrolling officers conduct checks wherever possible to ensure compliance with these orders, with positive action taken whenever a breach is identified.
Vaduva, of Nottingham, was jailed for 11 months when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on Friday 13 March.
He was also made subject of a five-year restraining order relating to the victim and a second person.
Detective Constable David Passmore, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Vaduva showed a complete disregard for his Domestic Violence Protection Order and continued his campaign of harassment, causing immense distress to the victim.
“His repeated unwanted behaviour was totally unacceptable and I would like to praise the courage and strength of this woman in coming forward. I hope that now Vaduva is behind bars she can start to move forward with her life.
“Stalking and harassment are serious crimes which can have a devastating impact on the lives of victims, their family and friends, and we would encourage anyone who has been affected by this type of behaviour to please contact us and speak to an officer in confidence.”
