Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a serious collision in Nottingham city centre.
Police said:
‘We were called at 4.55pm today (Sunday 22 March) to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Friar Lane.
‘The pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
‘The driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and Friar Lane is closed between its junctions with Maid Marian Way and Beastmarket Hill while officers investigate the incident.
