Dates and times amended: West Bridgford’s Melton Road junctions face closures during gas works until July

A series of temporary road closures and traffic controls will be introduced in West Bridgford and Edwalton as Cadent Gas carries out works over the coming months.

The works will affect Valley Road in West Bridgford, along with Croft Road and Firs Road in Edwalton, all close to their junctions with Melton Road.

According to the notice, the overall programme will run from 7.30am on Monday 20 April until 6pm on Tuesday 7 July.

Valley Road will be closed from 20 April until 1 May. This will be followed by a closure on Croft Road from 27 April until 8 May, and then Firs Road from 4 May until 15 May.

Outside of the full closures, temporary traffic signals will be in place to manage the works. Three-way lights are planned at key junctions along Melton Road, including Boundary Road, Melton Gardens, Highgrove Gardens, Village Street and Stanier Drive. Two-way rolling signals will be used at other times.
