Police investigate assault outside a Beeston pub in the early hours

Police are investigating an assault that happened in the early hours of Saturday morning 25 April.

Officers attended High Road, Beeston, following reports a man had been struck with an object.

He was reportedly assaulted by another man outside The Jesse Boot pub, around 12.40am today (25 April).

The incident left the man with injuries that are not currently believed to be life-altering.

An investigation is currently ongoing to track down the other person involved, with police now appealing for witnesses.

Detective Inspector Ian Holmes, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We’re keen to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of High Road, Beeston, just after midnight.

“This assault took place right outside a pub on the road, with a man requiring hospital treatment as a direct result.

“If you saw what happened or think you might have any information that could assist our inquiries, please get in touch immediately.

“We’d also ask anyone who had their vehicle parked in High Road overnight to check any dash-cam footage they have and share it with us.”

Information can be reported directly to the police on 101, quoting incident 17 of 25 April 2026, while Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
