A woman has appeared in court after a series of shop thefts across Nottingham.
Chocolate, cat food and cream eggs were amongst the items reported stolen from shops across the city centre, St Ann’s, Wollaton, Radford and Chilwell from 9 September 2025 to 12 April 2026.
The suspect from Clifton, has been charged with 19 counts of shop theft and one count of common assault.
The 37-year-old appeared in Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (22 April) and has since been remanded in custody.
She is next due in court on 29 April.
Detective Constable Gail Collins, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Shoplifting is a blight on the community and can have a significant impact on retailers both financially and emotionally.
“Our officers will continue their work of targeting known offenders and putting them before the courts.”
