Police seized more than 100 cannabis plants after officers forced entry to a property in Pleasley.
Officers from the Mansfield North Neighbourhood Policing Team attended an address in Bagshaw Street on Friday 8 May 2026 following concerns that cannabis was being grown inside.
Police said a number of enquiries were carried out at the scene before entry was forced. Once inside, officers found a cannabis grow and arrested a man at the property.
A total of 70 cannabis plants were seized, along with a further 35 plants which were being dried in the loft.

The man arrested at the address was later transferred into the custody of Border Force. Police said he will now be held in a deportation centre pending removal from the country.
Officers also found that the electricity supply at the property had been bypassed. Police said this posed a serious fire risk to neighbouring properties, particularly because the street is terraced.

National Grid attended the scene and disconnected the property from the mains supply.
Anyone with information about a suspected cannabis grow is asked to contact police on 101, report it through the Nottinghamshire Police website, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
