The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance has officially opened a new charity shop in Arnold, bringing life-saving charitable retail to the heart of the community while creating new volunteering opportunities for local people.
Located at 86–88 Front Street, Arnold, NG5 7EJ, the new shop offers a wide range of quality pre-loved clothing, accessories, homewares and bric-a-brac, with every purchase supporting the charity’s vital service. The shop is now open and welcoming shoppers, donors and volunteers.

The opening marks a key step in expanding the charity’s retail footprint across Nottinghamshire, helping to fund its critical work delivering rapid pre-hospital emergency care by air and road. The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance relies almost entirely on public donations and fundraising, with retail income playing a crucial role in keeping the service operational.
To support the launch, the charity is actively recruiting volunteers to help in the Arnold store. Volunteers will get involved in sorting and preparing stock for sale and helping to create an inviting shop environment while serving customers.

“We’re delighted to open our new shop in Arnold and become part of the local high street,” said Elizabeth Wright, Head of Retail at the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance. “This shop will generate essential funds to help us reach patients when they need us most — but it simply couldn’t operate without volunteers. Whether someone has a few hours a week or one day a month, volunteering in our shop is a fantastic way to support the cause and meet new people.”
Volunteering offers a range of benefits beyond making a vital and direct contribution to saving lives across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Our shop volunteers love the social aspect of the role, building confidence and gaining a feeling of giving back to the community. No previous experience is required, with full training and ongoing support always provided.
Local residents are encouraged to support the shop by shopping, donating good-quality items, or volunteering their time. Donations can be dropped off in store during opening hours.
The Arnold shop is part of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance’s wider commitment to community engagement, providing people with an accessible way to support the charity’s frontline crews and help ensure the helicopter and critical care teams can continue to respond 365 days a year.
