Detectives investigating a road traffic collision that left a woman in intensive care have urged any outstanding witnesses to come forward.
Emergency services were called to Alfreton Road in Nottingham shortly after 8.30pm on Monday 11 May following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, suffered multiple fractures – including a fractured pelvis – and was taken to hospital, where she was treated in intensive care.
A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road accident, and drink driving.
Officers have already spoken with several witnesses but are now appealing for any additional witnesses to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“We have been working hard over the past week to understand exactly what happened.
“To this end, we have spoken with multiple witnesses and analysed a considerable amount of CCTV footage.
“However, we believe there are still people who witnessed the incident who have yet to come forward – perhaps because they think the information they have is not significant, or that others had a better view.
“I want to stress that anything they saw – no matter how minor it may seem – could be of crucial importance to our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 26000272224. Information can also be passed in confidence to Crimestoppers.
