Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Clifton.
Reports came in that the victim, a 30-year-old man, was involved in a dispute with an unknown man following a disagreement between two children.
A man – described as being of dual heritage, aged between 45 and 50, with light-coloured hair – then punched the victim in the face.
The incident happened in Sunninghill Park on 22 March at around 5 pm.
Officers investigating the incident are now appealing for anyone who was in the surrounding area and saw what happened, or who may have CCTV footage, to get in touch.
PC Beth Wharmby, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This kind of violence has no place in Nottingham – thankfully, the victim has not sustained any serious injuries.
“We are determined to get to the bottom of what happened here and would urge any witnesses to come forward.
“I would also encourage anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and has CCTV footage to get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 481 of 22 March 2026, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
