Wednesday 3 June is expected to be unsettled, with rain becoming widespread from mid-morning and continuing through the afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will reach around 18°C, but it will feel cooler in the wind, with gusts strengthening through the day.

Early morning

The day will start mostly cloudy with some brighter spells possible, and temperatures around 13°C to 15°C between 5am and 8am. The chance of rain is around 20% at 5am and 6am, falling to 10% at 7am and 8am.

Winds will come from the south-west at around 9 to 11 mph, with gusts increasing from about 18 mph to 24 mph. UV levels will remain low, starting at 1 and rising to 2 by 8am.

Midday

Conditions are expected to deteriorate through late morning and lunchtime, with rain becoming increasingly likely. Temperatures will be around 15°C at 9am and 10am, falling slightly to 14°C by 11am and midday.

The chance of rain rises sharply from 80% at 9am to 90% at 10am, then greater than 95% by 11am and midday. Winds will come from the south-west to south at around 12 to 14 mph, with gusts reaching 27 to 30 mph. UV levels will stay low to moderate, around 1 to 2.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to stay wet and breezy, with showers or longer spells of rain likely. Temperatures will rise from 15°C at 1pm to 17°C by 2pm and 18°C by 3pm and 4pm.

The chance of rain remains high, between 70% and greater than 95%. Winds will come from the south to south-south-west and west-south-west at around 15 to 16 mph, with gusts reaching 33 to 36 mph. UV levels will briefly rise to 4 or 5 during brighter breaks, before easing again later.

Evening

The evening will remain unsettled, with rain likely at first before gradually easing later. Temperatures will fall from 17°C at 5pm and 6pm to 16°C by 7pm and 8pm, then 15°C by 9pm and 10pm, and 14°C by 11pm.

The chance of rain is greater than 95% at 5pm, then 90% at 6pm, 80% at 7pm, 70% at 8pm, 60% at 9pm, 40% at 10pm and 30% by 11pm. Winds will remain from the south-west to west-south-west at around 14 to 16 mph, with gusts easing from about 35 mph to 28 mph later. UV levels will be low in the evening, falling from 2 at 5pm to 1 and then fading after sunset.
