Two men have been arrested in Nottingham in connection with a shooting in Birmingham.
Armed officers from West Midlands Police were called to Gorsymead Grove, Northfield, shortly before 4.30 pm on Thursday 28 May, following reports that a gun had been fired.
A man was found with gunshot wounds to his leg and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
West Midlands Police said officers from its Major Crime Unit are investigating and carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and who was involved.
Officers arrested two men yesterday at an address in Netherfield. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, while a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Both men remain in custody for questioning.
Police said they are speaking to witnesses and are urging anyone with footage of the incident to come forward. Detectives are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the shooting.
West Midlands Police said local officers have stepped up patrols in Northfield to offer reassurance following the incident.
