Nottingham roadworks update as closures and temporary lights continue

Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for journeys next week, with a number of roadworks and traffic restrictions continuing across Nottingham.

The works include road closures, temporary traffic lights, lane closures and a contraflow system, with utility works and resurfacing schemes affecting several routes.

Lindfield Road remains closed between Alwyn Road and Shipley Road for Severn Trent works. The closure started on Sunday 15 March and is scheduled to remain in place until Friday 21 August.

A lane closure is also continuing on Nuthall Road between Western Boulevard and Melbourne Road for footway works. The restriction began on Monday 20 April and is due to remain in place until Friday 17 July.

Derby Road is affected by a lane closure for resurfacing works until Saturday 6 June. The works began on Thursday 23 April.

Two-way temporary traffic lights remain in place at the Green Lane junction of Farnborough Road through to the junction of Clifton Lane for Cadent Gas works. The restriction started on Friday 15 May and is due to end on Monday 8 June.

Melbourne Road is closed at the junction with Hilcot Drive for resurfacing works from Thursday 4 June until Sunday 7 June.

Four-way temporary traffic lights are in place at the Bramley Road junction with Helston Drive for Virgin Media works from Friday 5 June until Tuesday 9 June.

Temporary traffic lights are also in use on Hartley Road, between Radford Boulevard and Norton Street, for National Grid works from Friday 5 June until Tuesday 9 June.

On Sunday 7 June, a contraflow system will be in place at the junction of London Road and Ryehill Street for Severn Trent works.

A lane closure will also be in place on Wilford Street at the junction with Castle Boulevard from Sunday 7 June until Monday 8 June for Severn Trent works.

From Monday 8 June until Friday 19 June, a rolling lane closure will be in place on Middleton Boulevard between Sutton Passey’s Crescent and Hawton Crescent for Cadent Gas works.

Multi-way temporary traffic lights will be in place at the Freeston Drive junction with Bennerley Road from Thursday 11 June until Friday 12 June for the installation of a BT pole.

Drivers are advised to check routes before travelling and allow extra time where works are taking place.
