Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust confirmed the planned industrial action will no longer go ahead.
Resident doctors in England had been due to strike from 7am on Monday 15 June until 6.59am on Friday 19 June.
The British Medical Association has suspended the action after a new offer from the Government, which will now be put to members.
NUH said: “The resident doctors’ strike that was due to start on Monday has now been called off.
“The Department of Health and Social Care is working with the BMA over the coming days to finalise the details of the deal before it is put to their members.”
The cancellation means planned strike-related disruption at hospitals including Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital will not now take place.
Patients are still advised to attend appointments unless contacted directly by the NHS.
