A man has died after being hit by a lorry in Old Basford.
Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian died following a collision in Nottingham.
Emergency services were called to Bulwell Lane, Old Basford, at 8.59am on Wednesday (2 September) following reports a man had been involved in a collision with a lorry.
The man, aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the lorry stopped and gave an account to officers.
Nearby roads have been closed while investigations took place.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“Our investigation is at a very early stage, and we’d like to hear from anyone who can assist with our inquiries.
“We know there were a number of people in the area and potential witnesses, so I’d urge anyone who has not yet spoken to an officer to get in touch.
“Likewise, anyone with any relevant dashcam or other footage should contact police.”
