Firefighters in Bingham are asking drivers to keep the station entrance clear after resurfacing work left the road without its previous markings.
Bingham Fire Station said vehicles have been parking where zigzag lines were previously marked, making it difficult to get the fire engine in and out.
The station warned that cars parked too close to the entrance risk being damaged as the engine manoeuvres and could delay crews responding to a fire.
According to the station, the missing markings have led some drivers to assume there are no parking restrictions outside the building.
Drivers are being asked to leave enough space on both sides of the entrance while crews wait for the lines to be repainted.
The station said: “Please don’t park too close to the right or left of the entrance to the fire station until the new lines are painted.”
