A series of roadworks are planned across Rushcliffe over the coming days, with temporary traffic lights and stop/go boards in place at a number of locations.
The works include carriageway repairs in Gotham, Rempstone, Cotgrave, Sutton Bonington and Bunny, as well as drainage and telecoms work.
Details supplied by Via East Midlands show the following restrictions are planned between Monday 28 September and Monday 5 October.
Malt Street, Gotham – Monday 28 September
Stop/go boards will be in operation on Malt Street, around 35 metres south of its junction with The Rushes.
The restrictions will operate from 8am until 3.30pm while carriageway repairs are carried out.
The road will be clear outside those hours.
Loughborough Road, Rempstone – Monday 28 September
Four-way temporary traffic lights will be used at the junction of Loughborough Road, Ashby Road and Main Street.
The signals will be in operation from 9.30am until 2.30pm while carriageway repairs take place.
Main Road, Cotgrave – from Monday 28 September
Temporary two-way traffic lights are planned on Main Road at its junction with Fields View while work is carried out on the telecoms network.
The restrictions are scheduled to operate between 8am and 5.30pm while contractors working on behalf of BT clear a blockage.
The Via bulletin lists the start as Monday 28 September, although the end date stated in the notice contains a date and day inconsistency.
Main Street, Wysall – Tuesday 29 September
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be used on Main Street, around 15 metres north of the Costock Road and Wymeswold Road junction.
The signals will operate from 8am until 3.30pm for carriageway repairs.
Main Street, Rempstone – Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place on Main Street at the access road and Elms Court junction.
The restrictions will operate between 9.30am and 2.30pm each day.
A marshal will also be on site to manage vehicles entering and leaving the access road and Elms Court.
The work involves carriageway repairs.
Plumtree Road, Cotgrave – Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September
Two-way temporary traffic lights will operate on Plumtree Road, around 270 metres east of Gilliver Lane.
The restrictions will be in place from 8am until 3.30pm each day while carriageway repairs are completed.
Station Road, Sutton Bonington – Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September
Three-way temporary traffic lights will be used at the junction of Station Road and Kingston Lane.
The signals will operate from 8am until 3.30pm on both days for carriageway repairs.
Stanton Lane, Stanton-on-the-Wolds – Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place around 200 metres north of Browns Lane.
The restrictions will operate between 9.30am and 2.30pm each day while kerb repairs are carried out.
Leake Road and Gypsum Way, Gotham – Wednesday 30 September
Rolling temporary traffic lights will be used on Leake Road and Gypsum Way.
The affected sections are Leake Road from Gypsum Way for around 80 metres south, and Gypsum Way between Leake Road and Kegworth Road.
Two-way signals will generally be used, with three-way signals where required.
Only one set of signals will be operating at any one time.
The restrictions will run from 8am until 3.30pm while carriageway repairs are carried out.
Melton Lane, Sutton Bonington – Wednesday 30 September to Friday 2 October
Rolling two-way temporary traffic lights will be used on Melton Lane, beginning around 120 metres east of College Road and continuing for approximately another 325 metres.
The lights will operate between 8am and 3.30pm each day for carriageway repairs.
Smite Lane, Orston – Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation on Smite Lane, around 230 metres east of Longmoor Lane.
The restrictions will operate from 8am until 3.30pm each day while carriageway repairs are carried out.
Keyworth Lane, Bunny – Friday 2 October to Monday 5 October
Rolling two-way temporary traffic lights will operate along Keyworth Lane between Loughborough Road and Pendock Lane.
The restrictions are scheduled from Friday 2 October until Monday 5 October.
Traffic management will generally operate between 8am and 3.30pm while carriageway repairs take place.
Melton Road, Normanton-on-the-Wolds – Friday 2 October to Monday 5 October
Three-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation at the junction of Melton Road and Old Melton Road.
The restrictions are planned from Friday 2 October until Monday 5 October for carriageway repairs.
Traffic management will operate during daytime working hours.
Nicker Hill, Keyworth – from Monday 5 October
Three-way temporary traffic lights will be introduced at the junction of Nicker Hill and Meadow Drive from Monday 5 October.
The restrictions are scheduled to continue until Wednesday 7 October while new telecoms ducting is installed.
The lights will only be in use when contractors are working on site.
Fosse Way, Kinoulton – from Monday 5 October
Temporary traffic lights are planned at the junction of Fosse Way and Kinoulton Lane from Monday 5 October.
Via says nine-way traffic signals will be required while broken drainage pipes are repaired.
The restrictions are scheduled between 8am and 3.30pm each day and are due to continue until Friday 9 October.
Motorists are advised to allow additional time when travelling through the affected areas, particularly where several sets of temporary signals are operating on routes across the borough.
