Nottinghamshire weather – Wednesday 7 October

Wednesday 7 October is forecast to begin wet across Nottinghamshire, with persistent rain through much of the morning before conditions improve during the afternoon.

Early morning

Rain is expected from the start of the day, with a 90% chance at 5am, 6am and 7am.

The risk rises to at least 95% between 8am and 10am.

Temperatures will be around 13C at 5am, falling to 12C at 6am and 7am and 11C by 9am.

Northerly winds strengthen through the morning, reaching around 7mph by 9am and 10am, with gusts of around 20 to 21mph.

Midday

Rain remains likely late in the morning, with a 90% chance at 11am and 80% at midday.

Temperatures stay subdued at around 12C.

Winds turn north-north-westerly at around 6 to 7mph, with gusts close to 22mph.

Afternoon

Conditions improve from early afternoon.

The chance of rain falls to 50% at 1pm, 20% at 2pm and 10% by 3pm.

Some brighter or sunny spells are expected by 2pm and 3pm.

Temperatures gradually recover, reaching 13C at 2pm, 14C at 3pm and around 15C by 4pm.

Evening

The evening is expected to be largely dry, with the chance of rain below 5% from 4pm through to 9pm apart from a 10% risk around 10pm.

Temperatures fall steadily from 15C at 4pm to 14C at 5pm, 13C at 6pm and 12C by 7pm.

By late evening, temperatures drop to around 10C, with it feeling closer to 8C by 11pm.

North-westerly winds remain moderate at around 6 to 8mph, with gusts around 19 to 25mph.
