Motorists across Rushcliffe are being advised of planned roadworks, temporary traffic lights, road closures and parking restrictions during the week beginning Monday 12 October.
The works affect roads in West Bridgford, Gamston, Tollerton, Keyworth, Ruddington’s surrounding villages, East Leake, Bingham’s surrounding villages and other parts of the borough.
According to roadworks bulletins issued by Via East Midlands, restrictions include carriageway repairs, utility maintenance, resurfacing-related work and emergency repairs to gas and water infrastructure.
Some restrictions will operate during daytime hours only, while others will remain in place around the clock.
West Bridgford and Gamston
Musters Road, West Bridgford
Three-way temporary traffic lights will be in place at the junction with Rushworth Avenue on Friday 16 October, between 8am and 3.30pm.
The restrictions are required for carriageway repairs by Via East Midlands. The road will be clear outside these hours.
Wilford Lane, West Bridgford
Temporary stop/go boards are planned approximately 45 metres north-east of the junction with Little Bounds.
The bulletin gives Thursday 15 October as the start date, with restrictions operating between 9.30am and 2.30pm. The advertised end date contains an inconsistency and requires confirmation.
The works involve carriageway repairs.
Malvern Road, West Bridgford
Stop/go boards will be used approximately 30 metres north-east of the Musters Road junction from Monday 12 to Tuesday 13 October.
Restrictions will operate between 8am and 3.30pm daily for carriageway repairs. The road will be clear outside working hours.
Ambleside, Gamston
Two-way traffic lights will be in use approximately 25 metres south of the junction with Aira Close from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 October.
The lights will operate between 9am and 3pm daily while trial holes are excavated to establish the route of an existing water main.
The work is being carried out by McAndrews on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
Tollerton, Bunny and Hickling Pastures
Melton Road, Tollerton
Two-way traffic lights are scheduled at the junction with the A52 from Monday 12 until Friday 16 October.
The restrictions form part of National Highways works on the A52.
Traffic lights are scheduled to operate 24 hours a day, with manual control between 7am and 7pm. The bulletin states that the lights will be removed overnight on 13 October.
Gotham Lane, Bunny
Stop/go traffic control will be used from the junction with the A60 for approximately 2,000 metres westwards between Monday 12 and Friday 16 October.
The restrictions are scheduled between 7.30am and 7pm daily while carriageway lining and road stud installation takes place.
Melton Road, Hickling Pastures
The same programme of lining and road stud works will affect the whole length of Melton Road, Hickling Pastures, from Monday 12 to Friday 16 October.
Stop/go boards will operate between 7.30am and 7pm daily, with the road clear outside these hours.
Keyworth and Widmerpool
Widmerpool Lane, Keyworth
Temporary stop/go boards are scheduled approximately 490 metres south of the junction with Selby Lane.
The bulletin specifies 14 October, between 8am and 3.30pm, for carriageway repairs.
Keyworth Road, Widmerpool
Two-way temporary traffic lights will operate approximately 160 metres north of Old Hall Drive from Monday 12 to Tuesday 13 October.
The restrictions will apply between 8am and 3.30pm daily for carriageway repairs.
Willoughby Road, Widmerpool
Rolling stop/go boards will be used along a section beginning approximately 65 metres south of Field Lane and extending southwards for approximately 890 metres.
The works are scheduled for Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 October, between 8am and 3.30pm daily.
Wysall Lane, Widmerpool
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place approximately 840 metres west of the junction with Willoughby Road from Wednesday 14 to Thursday 15 October.
The lights will operate between 8am and 3.30pm daily while carriageway repairs are carried out.
East Leake and Ratcliffe-on-Soar
Salisbury Avenue, East Leake
Stop/go boards will operate approximately 10 metres north of the junction with Cromwell Drive from Tuesday 13 to Wednesday 14 October.
The restrictions will be in place between 8am and 3.30pm daily for carriageway repairs.
Kegworth Road, Ratcliffe-on-Soar
Rolling stop/go boards are planned between the junction with Kingston Lane and a point approximately 470 metres north.
The works begin on Friday 16 October and are scheduled to continue until Monday 19 October.
Restrictions will operate between 8am and 3.30pm daily for carriageway repairs, with the road clear outside working hours.
Aslockton and surrounding villages
Main Street, Aslockton
Rolling two-way temporary traffic lights will operate between the junctions with Mill Lane and St Thomas Drive from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 October.
The signals will operate between 8am and 6pm daily.
The works, on behalf of Severn Trent Water, involve accessing manholes for sewer pipe works.
Cliffhill Lane, Aslockton
Two-way traffic lights remain scheduled approximately 25 metres east of Meadow Close until Tuesday 13 October at 5pm.
The lights are in place around the clock, with manual control between 7am and 7pm daily.
National Grid is carrying out repairs to a cable fault.
Main Street, Kinoulton
Two-way temporary traffic lights will be in place approximately 15 metres east of the junction with Hind Close on Thursday 15 October.
The restrictions will operate between 8am and 4pm while Severn Trent Water replaces a defective frame and cover.
Plungar Road, Granby
Stop/go boards are scheduled approximately 530 metres south of the junction with Flawborough Lane from Friday 16 until Monday 19 October.
Restrictions will operate between 8am and 3.30pm daily while carriageway repairs take place.
Radcliffe-on-Trent and Cropwell Bishop
Cropwell Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent
Two-way temporary traffic lights will operate approximately 180 metres south of the A52 junction on Sunday 18 October, between 8am and 6pm.
Comex, working on behalf of Virgin Media, will carry out permanent reinstatement work following earlier excavation.
Fern Road, Cropwell Bishop
Two-way traffic lights are planned approximately 600 metres east of the junction with Pasture Lane, from 13 to 16 October.
The lights will be used only while work is taking place and removed or turned away at other times.
Severn Trent Water is replacing a boundary box.
Emergency road closures continuing into the week
Plumtree Lane, Bradmore
A temporary road closure introduced on Wednesday 7 October is scheduled to remain in place until 6pm on Tuesday 13 October.
The closure affects a section of Plumtree Lane north-east of the junction with Loughborough Road.
Cadent Gas is investigating or repairing a gas leak or loss of supply. The road is closed 24 hours a day, with diversions signed on site.
Screveton Road, Car Colston
A temporary road closure remains scheduled until 4pm on Friday 16 October while Severn Trent Water repairs a defective sewer pipe.
The closure affects a short section of Screveton Road south of its junction with Bedeham Lane.
The restriction is in place 24 hours a day, with the diversion signed on site.
Brown Lane, Barton-in-Fabis
A temporary road closure remains scheduled until 4pm on Monday 12 October.
The closure affects a short section approximately 190 metres west of the junction with Manor Road.
Severn Trent Water is carrying out repairs to a leaking boundary box. The restriction operates 24 hours a day, with a signed diversion.
Parking restrictions in Sutton Bonington
Main Street, Sutton Bonington
Temporary restrictions prohibiting waiting, loading and unloading are in place on both sides of a section of Main Street, approximately 10 metres south-east of the junction with Gables Lea.
The restrictions operate 24 hours a day and are scheduled to continue until 11.59pm on Monday 26 October.
They are required to allow deliveries and the storage of materials connected with ongoing church renovation work.
All roadworks dates and times are subject to change depending on operational requirements, weather conditions and the progress of repairs. Motorists should follow temporary traffic management and diversion signs where provided.
