Welbeck Farm Shop will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a birthday weekend from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October.
The Nottinghamshire shop opened in October 2006 and brings together food produced on the Welbeck Estate alongside goods from other makers and suppliers.
Visitors to the anniversary weekend will have the chance to win a prize.
Based in The Courtyard at Welbeck, the shop sells estate meat and game, bread from Welbeck Bakehouse, ale from Welbeck Abbey Brewery and Stichelton blue cheese.
Farm Shop Director Oliver Stubbins said: “When the Farm Shop was established, the goal was never just about retail margins; it was about representing the Estate’s incredible agricultural lineage and giving it back to the community.”
He said the anniversary also recognised the contribution of staff who had worked at the business for many years.
The shop forms part of a wider food-producing community on the estate, involving farmers, butchers, bakers, cheesemakers, brewers and growers.
Its raw milk vending machine is supplied daily by Graham Walker’s pedigree Holstein dairy herd on the estate. Milk from the same herd is used by cheesemaker Joe Schneider to produce Stichelton, an unpasteurised blue cheese made at Welbeck.
The estate’s Kitchen Garden also supplies the shop and The Harley Café with heritage vegetables, seasonal salads, herbs and fruit.
Restored in 2021, the 22-acre Kitchen Garden is set within Welbeck’s original 19th-century walled garden and is led by Head Gardener Steve Wright and his son Calum. Guided tours take place during the summer season.
The estate’s newest food producer is Primrose Creamery. According to the farm shop, the dairy received a three-star Great Taste award and two Golden Fork awards in its first year of production.
The anniversary celebrations will take place at Welbeck Farm Shop across the three-day weekend.
