Nottingham bus diversions and service changes for week commencing 26 October

Bus passengers face diversions, changed stops and possible delays during the week commencing Monday 26 October as roadworks continue across Nottingham and surrounding areas.

Nottingham City Transport and trentbarton have published notices covering new closures and ongoing works. The following round-up covers changes affecting the week, including restrictions continuing beyond Friday 30 October.

Nottingham City Transport

Bramcote – Monday 26 October

Service 18 will divert during tree maintenance on Town Street between 8am and 3.30pm. Chapel Street stops will be missed, and buses will not pick up or set down along the diversion.

Killisick – Monday 26 to Friday 30 October

Lime 58 will divert between 8am and 6pm daily, using Beechwood Road, Coppice Road, Howbeck Road and Gleneagles Drive. Spinningdale, Cedar Grove and Oakdale Road stops are affected.

Sneinton – Thursday 29 October

Red 44 will use Manvers Street and Daleside Road from 7pm until the end of service, bypassing Sneinton Hermitage and Colwick Road. Passengers can use Red 43 on Sneinton Dale or stops on Daleside Road.

Other ongoing restrictions

  • 18A: Roadworks prevent buses serving Thoresby Road and parts of Derby Road in both directions.
  • 25, 53, 54, 55 and 58: Daybrook lane closures are causing delays.
  • 26: Lowdham roundabout works could cause delays; the scheme is expected to last approximately 13 months from September.
  • 40A: City Hospital journeys start and finish at Radiotherapy on North Road while Linden Way remains closed.

Bilborough – until Friday 30 October

Cockington Road resurfacing affects Pink 28 and Orange 35 between 8am and 5pm on weekdays.

Pink 28 will terminate and restart at Burnside Green on Bracebridge Drive.

Orange 35 will divert through Trowell Road, Glaisdale Drive and Burnside Road in both directions. Stops on Cockington Road, Birchover Road, Stotfield Road and Bilborough Road will not be served during the works.

Snape Wood – until Friday 30 October

Yellow 69 towards Snape Wood will continue to divert along Ravensworth Road and Camberley Road during gas works on Seller’s Wood Drive.

The diversion is scheduled to remain until 6pm on Friday 30 October. Buses towards the city will follow their normal route.

City centre – continuing throughout the week

Temporary stopping arrangements remain in place because of the Maid Marian Way demolition works.

Turquoise 77/C, 78/A/B and 79/B terminate on Burton Street alongside The Cornerhouse. Departures towards Strelley and Bulwell leave from stop T7.

These services miss their usual stops on Maid Marian Way, Broadmarsh, George Street, Fletcher Gate and at Victoria Centre.

Navy 1, 4, 48/A and Pathfinder 90 do not serve stop M5 outside the former college on journeys towards the city.

Passengers using Red 45/B should use stop M2 outside Nottingham Lighting Centre, replacing the closed stop near The Salutation. These arrangements apply daily until the works are complete.

Airport-bound skylink Nottingham buses miss Long Eaton Green and Market Place. The my15 also misses Market Place towards Sawley and the airport, with temporary stopping arrangements in place.

The Kirkby Lane closure affects the nines 9.3 and service 90 during water-main installation.

Several stops are unavailable, including Mayfield Street, St Helens House, Langton Suites and Cliff Lane. Service 90 has additional stop closures, so passengers should check the operator’s full notice.

Other trentbarton changes
