A drone show will take place at Nottingham’s Forest Recreation Ground on Bonfire Night, with discounted tickets available to city residents.
Nottingham City Council’s City of Legends event on Thursday 5 November will feature 250 synchronised drones depicting Nottingham’s history and characters, accompanied by a specially commissioned soundtrack.
Two 20-minute shows are scheduled for 6.30pm and 9pm, with food and drink available at the site.
Tickets for Nottingham city residents cost £2 for adults aged 17 and over and £1 for children aged 16 and under. Tickets for people living outside the city council area cost £10 for adults and £5 for children.
To claim the discount, residents need to select ‘Resident Discount’ when booking tickets and enter their council tax number and postcode.
The eight-digit number can be found on a paper or electronic council tax bill, or through the council’s online account portal.
The event is being delivered in partnership with Nottinghamshire-based Light Dynamix, which designs and manufactures drones for live entertainment.
The council said the show forms part of its annual programme of free and low-cost events and is funded through its £25 million additional investment package announced earlier this year.
Councillor David Mellen, the council’s executive member for leisure, culture and tourism, said: “We’re especially pleased to be offering £2 tickets for city residents, helping to make this exciting event affordable and accessible so that as many people as possible can enjoy an unforgettable night.”
