A person has been hit by a train affecting EMR services.
A spokesperson for East Midlands Railway said at 1:11 pm
‘We are sad to report that a person has been hit by a train. This has occurred between Bottesford and Sleaford and is disrupting our trains Nottingham/Grantham/Skegness and
‘Nottingham/Norwich routes.
‘Emergency services are currently on site.
‘Trains running through the area on the Nottingham/Grantham/Skegness route will be diverted where possible and will not call at Grantham.
‘Trains running through the area on the Nottingham/Norwich routes will also be diverted where possible and will not call at Grantham.
‘Please speak to a member of our team if you are concerned about your journey.
‘At present we are expecting the line to re-open in the next two hours. As soon as the line is open again, our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 1600.’
