Police release image after mobile phone theft at tram stop

Police investigating the theft of a mobile phone on a tram want to speak to this man.

The victim was targeted around 4.15pm on 6 April as they travelled from Hyson Green Market

It’s believed a man managed to retrieve the phone from her coat pocket before exiting the tram.

Police have been analysing CCTV footage and making other local inquiries since the incident occurred.

They are now in a position to release this photo of a man they believe could have important information about the incident.

PC Feron Thomas, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“When this sort of incident is reported, officers will investigate and do all we can to find the person responsible.

“We have now released this image of a man who could help with our inquiries.

“Do you recognise the man in the image? Are you the man in the image? Please get in touch immediately.
