Highways England said:
‘The A52 Clifton Bridge in Nottinghamshire is closed eastbound within the A453 junctions to allow further in depth bridge inspections to be conducted.’
‘Motorists are being diverted; Exit the A52 onto the A453 north Queens Drive, turn right onto Waterway Street West, Sheriffs Way and Queens Road.
‘At the A60 junction turn right and travel south over the River Trent, turn left onto the A606 and continue south to re-join the A52 at Wheatcroft Island.’
