Live updates: A606 Melton Road: A lorry has hit Tollerton bridge – avoid area

The incident was reported at around 6:30 pm on Monday 22 January.

The road is now reported to be open

‘Partially blocked and slow traffic due to bridge struck by vehicle on A606 Melton Road both ways at the railway bridge.

‘A lorry is stuck under the bridge. Affecting traffic to and from the A52 Wheatcroft Island.’

6:30 pm An articulated lorry has struck Tollerton Bridge on the A606 Melton Road near the village.

It’s the third incident in just a few months.

Emergency services and recovery are expected at the scene.

It looks like there will be some sort of road closure so it is suggested to avoid the route.
