Almost £5 million council tax rebate repayments paid to Rushcliffe residents

Householders in Rushcliffe have now received nearly £5m in central government council tax rebate repayments.

Letters have been sent to recipients confirming the payments have been distributed and the authority continue to contact residents not already in receipt of the rebate inviting them to apply for the payment and requesting any relevant information.

For cash payers and those direct debit payers who have yet to make a payment to their council tax account from April 1 2022, it is anticipated they will receive payments by the end of June with the central government deadline to administer the payments at the end of September.

Further details on discretionary payments will be made soon with these additional payments to eligible residents set to be distributed by the end of this month.
