A designer handbag, jewellery, and antiques were all stolen when a village house was burgled.
Intruders smashed a window before inviting themselves into the property on Gainsborough Road, Winthorpe.
Muddy footprints were left across the house, while items were found scattered everywhere following a messy search.
A range of items were stolen during the break-in, including a high-value Chanel handbag and an antique silver teapot.
Different types of jewellery, a silver sugar bowl, and another handbag were also taken from inside the house in the village near Newark.
The burglary is believed to have taken place around 5:10 pm on Wednesday (11 December).
Sergeant Mark Walker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We’re determined to track down whoever was responsible for this break-in, which has understandably left the homeowner very upset.
“Bearing this in mind, we’d ask that anyone who saw or knows anything about what happened, and hasn’t contacted the police yet, does so right away.
“We’d also ask people to check any CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage from the area around this time, as it could assist our investigation.”
