Detectives are appealing for information as they work to reunite a burglary victim with a hugely sentimental watch bought by her late husband.
The watch was reported missing following a break-in at an address in Kenilworth Road, Nottingham, overnight between 10 and 11 September 2024.
A suspect has been charged with burglary in relation to the incident but officers now want to trace the stolen watch. The distinctive Longines timepiece, bought more than 20 years ago, is an 18-carat white gold oval watch.
The outer surrounding of the watch is diamond set, with either two or three rows of diamonds which is referred to as Pave, meaning clustered.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: “The victim has been left extremely upset by the break-in and particularly the loss of this very sentimental gift from her late husband. “If you’ve seen or been offered this item for sale, either online or in person, or have any more information that could help us track it down, we’d ask that you please get in touch with us.”
James Hudson, aged 38, of Basford, has been charged with burglary in relation to this incident and a series of other offences. He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 18 October and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on 8 November.
