Appeal after mobile phone theft in a Nottingham Aldi store

Police investigating the theft of a mobile phone have released this image of a man they would like to speak to.

The victim was shopping at the Aldi supermarket in Radford Boulevard, Radford, when the device was taken.

She had put the phone down briefly before it was stolen. The offender made no attempt to hand it in to staff and left the store a short time later.

Officers are now in a position to release this CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident, which took place at around 5pm on 2 May 2023.

Police Constable Chris Cutts, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We believe this is an opportunistic theft where the offender could have done the right thing and returned the phone to the victim or handed it in to staff. Instead he has chosen to steal it.
