Officers arrived at the scene and conducted an area search before intelligence helped trace a vehicle which was suspected to be involved.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle after the car was tracked down at an address in Radford at around 10.45 pm on Wednesday.

A number of motor vehicle parts were found during a search of an outbuilding.

Inspector David Platt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working hard as a force to prevent vehicle crime occurring in the first place as well as arrest, charge and bring to justice those responsible.

“It is a priority for us because we know people rely on their vehicles to go about their daily lives.

“Use of intelligence has allowed us to trace a car suspected to be involved quickly and I’m pleased this man is in custody.

“Our investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 3 of 21 June 2023, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
