Detectives investigating a report of a street fight involving weapons have charged a man as part of their enquiries.
The incident, which is alleged to have involved threats of using knives, is thought to have happened in Eucalyptus Gardens, Clifton at around 1.10pm on Thursday 22 July.
A 32-year-old man appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday 23 August) charged with affray in connection with the incident.
Detective Constable Chris Bostock, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We understand the impact and concern incidents of this nature can have on the public and will always thoroughly investigate reports.
“We will not tolerate violent disorder on our streets and enquiries into this incident have been ongoing since it was reported to us.
“While we have now charged two people as part of our investigation, we would urge anyone with information or who saw anything at the time to get in touch with us on 101, quoting incident 969 of 22 July 2021.”
A 20-year-old man previously appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday 27 July 2021 in connection with this incident.
He is charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon and will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 24 August 2021.
