Police arrested two suspects in West Bridgford after a stolen car was crashed into a fence moments after it had been driven off.
Officers were called to reports a set of car keys had been stolen from a locker at Rushcliffe Arena, West Bridgford, around 11am on Saturday (25 May).
A short time later the car crashed in Adbolton Lane, West Bridgford.
Officers carried out searches of the area around the crash and quickly found two suspects matching descriptions.
A 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of burglary of a non-dwelling and theft of a motor vehicle.
Police Constable Imran Ahmed, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Officers on patrol worked quickly and efficiently to trace these two suspects.
“We do not underestimate how distressing it can be to discover your personal items have been rifled through and your car has been stolen.
“Our investigation into the incident remains ongoing and anyone who has any relevant information should get in touch.”
